ok here are some books. this is just a quick word of warning though - the crafting community is generally very middle class and very white, and there can be a lot of cultural appropriation and casual racism. we haven't read all the books we uploaded bacause there were rather a lot of them, but it's a safe bet to say they aren't free from this.

i'd be particularly wary of the christi friesen books because one of hers was so bad we didn't bother uploading it. her entire writing style is also obnoxious as fuck, js.

most of our metalsmith books are offline but here is one from 1982 that is very technical: http://www.mediafire.com/?ceuyoyq5kybfz

i decided to go through my bookshelves and make a list of all the female fantasy authors we have. i can't vouch for the quality of all of these authors, bc some of their books appear to be random ~urban fantasy~ buffy knockoffs (and i have no idea how we ended up with them bc neither of us particularly like that genre) and others i haven't read yet. some (like sarah ash and diana francis) didn't really impress me that much story wise, but i'm keeping them on the list bc taste is subjective.

i started off writing brief notes to go with them but then couldn't be bothered, sorry. i also couldn't be arsed listing all the books that each author has written because in some cases that would take fucking FOREVER, so if you have any interest in them you will just have to google ok.

anyway it might be a starting point for people who want to read more female fantasy authors. i haven't checked our ebooks so i might add some more to the list at some point but for now i'm going to have a cup of tea.
